Duties:

Under the supervision of the Digital Events Manager, the Principal Technician will:

  • Set up and manage AV infrastructure for digital meetings/events (equipment, streaming, recording).

  • Develop and execute AV implementation plans with clear customer communication.

  • Operate and maintain a mobile streaming studio (including videowalls and greenscreens).

  • Create technical plans and "Run of Show" documents for hybrid/digital events.

  • Instruct and lead a technical team during large-scale digital/hybrid events.

  • Design and produce jingles, banners, and digital signage.

  • Provide support for digital platforms such as Cisco WebEx, MS Teams, and others.

  • Offer first-level support for issues like scheduling, videobridging, and recording.

  • Monitor AV/VTC services to identify, diagnose, and verify issues.

  • Execute corrective actions as directed by NDW Engineers (VTC).

  • Act as deputy for senior staff when necessary.

  • Perform other related duties as required.


Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Higher-level training in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in live digital/hybrid event delivery.

  • Proven experience in leading AV teams during live events.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in platforms like Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Poly, etc.

  • Skills in configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of collaboration services (e.g., Poly RMX, Poly DMA, Poly RPRM).

  • Experience in creating multimedia elements for events.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience working in international/multinational military-civilian environments.

  • Familiarity with NATO operations and structure (Allied Command Operations, Allied Command Transformation).

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); some knowledge of French is desirable.


Contract Details:

  • Location: The Hague, Netherlands (full-time on-site)

  • Start Date: 23 June 2025

  • End Date: 31 December 2025

  • Total Hours: 836 hours


Working Environment:

  • Regular office and secured underground environments.

  • May involve shift work and extended hours.

  • Frequent travel between NATO and non-NATO sites, possibly including operational theatres.


Security Clearance:

  • Must hold NATO Cosmic Top Secret clearance.
