2025-0190 - Cybersecurity Service Engineer Services

Duties:

• Support the Chief Technology Office (CTO) in transforming cybersecurity services.

• Review and validate technical cybersecurity solutions aligned with architecture guidance.

• Assess technologies and standards for ICT services, security validation, and component reuse.

• Monitor and evaluate adherence to NATO, Agency, and industry cybersecurity policies and standards.

• Document gaps, next steps, and compliance issues.

• Support the definition, development, and management of cybersecurity architecture and engineering practices.

• Support Cyber Security by Design principles and processes across project and service lifecycles.

• Assist in creating cybersecurity technology, capability, and service roadmaps.

• Support cybersecurity capability development and requirements documentation.

• Participate in multinational working groups to develop NATO cybersecurity policy, particularly in public cloud security.

• Provide progress reports and deliverables during sprints (4-week cycles).

• Coordinate weekly on-site with stakeholders in The Hague and report regularly to the Chief Architecting and Engineering Section.

Requirements / Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree from a recognized university in a related field.

2. Extensive experience in ICT cybersecurity and design for NATO IT services.

3. Proven experience integrating information assurance and cyber defence into NATO IT service delivery.

4. Experience writing cybersecurity requirements for contracts with industry.

5. Knowledge of NATO cybersecurity service delivery and policies.

6. In-depth technical knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust, NATO Data Centric Security, Information Exchange Gateways).

7. Understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

8. Working knowledge of Archimate language for architecture views.

9. Experience working in multi-disciplinary, multinational teams.

10. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.

11. Fluency in English.

12. Nationality from a NATO country.

13. Hold a valid NATO SECRET security clearance.
