Main Duties

The OPEX Planner supports MARCOM operations by coordinating CIS requirements for NATO maritime operations and exercises. The role focuses on planning, stakeholder coordination, and service delivery management within a secure NATO environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Capturing and coordinating all CIS requirements for SNF Flagship handovers, including NATO equipment (e.g., UHF TACSAT)

  • Organising and coordinating pre-installation ship surveys and CIS transfers during handover

  • Planning and managing PLT012 service delivery for MARCOM operations and exercises

  • Creating and managing tickets in the NCIA ITSM system

  • Coordinating with MARCOM, technicians, and stakeholders for ongoing and future operations/exercises

  • Arranging port/ship access for TDY personnel supporting operational events

  • Ensuring smooth service delivery from requirement intake through implementation


Required Profile

  • Valid NATO Secret security clearance

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ICT service delivery

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ICT engineering or secure network management

  • Relevant technical/vocational education with 3–5 years of related experience (depending on qualification level)

  • Experience working in secure, structured IT environments

  • Strong coordination and multitasking ability

  • Excellent written and verbal English (NATO STANAG Level 3 / CEFR B2–C1)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide user-focused support

  • Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder communication skills


Desirable Experience

  • Experience with NCI Agency or NATO CIS environments

  • Familiarity with NATO policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of deployable CIS environments

  • Agile methodology exposure
