Network Technician (Network Automation & Data Entry)

Location: Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium (on-site)
Clearance: NATO Secret required

Role Overview

You will support NATO network operations by ensuring high-quality data management, maintaining network addressing systems, and contributing to network automation initiatives. The role combines network administration, data integrity, and automation tasks within a structured and security-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve tickets in line with agreed SLAs
  • Maintain data quality, integrity, and lifecycle management
  • Manage and register network names, addresses, and metadata
  • Perform data extraction, deduplication, matching, and curation
  • Assign and manage IP addressing and naming conventions
  • Support integration of configuration data into central repositories
  • Contribute to network automation and telemetry data collection
  • Assist project teams with network data and configuration tasks

Mandatory Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in Network Technician / IPAM / DDI roles
  • Strong understanding of IP addressing & subnetting (IPv4 & IPv6)
  • Experience with DNS, IP management, and routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP, RIP, ISIS)
  • Familiarity with network automation or scripting
  • Experience with change requests and configuration audits
  • Relevant technical education or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with military or NATO network environments
  • Knowledge of IPAM tools/databases
  • Experience supporting NATO operations or exercises
  • Familiarity with NCIA processes and deployable CIS assets
  • Ability to produce technical documentation/manuals
  • Industry certifications (e.g. CCNA, DevNet, JNCIA)

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewalls, MPLS, multicast
  • Experience working in international/military environments
  • Understanding of NATO structure (ACO/ACT is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel within Belgium (up to 50 TDY days/year)
