DUTIES & ROLE:

Under direction of the Section Head and Team Leader, the incumbent will:

  • Support lifecycle operations of IT services: Managed Devices, REACH Mobile Workspace, Print/Scan/Copy, and Enterprise Managed Mobility Devices.

  • Provide/co-ordinate Level 2/3 technical support including help desk and emergency on-site assistance.

  • Implement and maintain authorized software changes ensuring quality, testing, documentation, and security procedures.

  • Identify and resolve operational problems.

  • Give technical briefings, write/review reports and designs.

  • Mentor, support, and guide team members professionally and technically.

  • Monitor service performance and take corrective actions based on KPIs and SLA compliance.

  • Actively support Continuous Service Improvement (CSI).

  • Perform duties as needed within the organization, including on-call support and acting in higher-grade positions if required.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Education:

    • Higher vocational training 3 years related experience OR

    • Secondary education 5 years related experience.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Proficient in MS Office, device management, LAN/WAN, client/server troubleshooting.

    • Strong grasp of LAN/Internet security and endpoint protection.

    • Expertise in:

      • Active Directory (incl. GPO config)

      • TCP/IP networking protocols

      • Windows PowerShell & scripting

      • Virtualization (VMWare vSphere)

      • Security tools (e.g., McAfee ePO)

      • Client deployment (SCCM/MDT)

      • Application packaging

  • Experience:

    • 7 years in managing/administering user client devices.

    • Incident, request, and problem management.

    • Use of ticketing tools (e.g., ITSM platforms).

CERTIFICATIONS (Required):

  • Either:

    • At least 2 advanced certifications

    • OR at least 4 intermediate certifications
      (Examples below)

Intermediate (examples):

  • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft 365: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty

  • VMware Technical Associate (EUC)

  • McAfee Certified Product Specialist – ePO

Advanced (examples):

  • Microsoft Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)

  • McAfee Certified Security Specialist – NSP

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous work in international/multicultural environments.

  • Familiarity with ITIL v3/2011 or ITIL 4.

  • Understanding of NATO operations, commands, and agencies.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of French or the other NATO language is desirable.

SPECIFIC WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.

  • Potential travel within Belgium (less than 100 km, up to twice per month).

  • On-call support during off-hours may be required.
