ITSM Network Engineer

We are seeking a qualified IT Service Management Network Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and optimization of service management platforms and integration technologies within a complex technical environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT Service Management workflows while supporting automation, reporting infrastructures, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operation and maintenance (O&M) support for integration platform technologies such as MuleSoft and Apache ActiveMQ.

  • Implement and maintain IT Service Management workflows, including incident management, request fulfilment, and change management automation.

  • Design and implement interfaces between BMC ITSM and Atrium CMDB as well as integrations with external data sources.

  • Develop technical solutions, system designs, and documentation in response to user requirements.

  • Implement reporting infrastructures, data models, and ad-hoc reporting solutions.

  • Configure and customize BMC ITSM (VeVA MN instance) and provide system documentation and training for users.

  • Support automation initiatives, process improvements, and optimization of tools and procedures.

  • Produce risk assessment reports and technical analyses.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert during planning conferences and operational exercises, providing technical support and direct engagement with stakeholders and participants.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of related experience, or 6 years of relevant professional experience including 2 years in network administration.

  • Proven experience with IT Service Management platforms based on BMC ITSM Suite and Atrium CMDB.

  • Experience in planning, implementing, and supporting integration platform technologies (experience with MuleSoft and Apache ActiveMQ is highly desirable).

  • Experience implementing service-oriented architectures (SOA).

  • Experience building or maintaining Remedy ITSM environments on Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, MS SQL Server) and Linux environments.

  • Knowledge of Windows and Red Hat Linux system administration.

  • Experience integrating multiple data sources with BMC Atrium CMDB.

  • Experience with infrastructure solutions supporting service management platforms, including databases (MS SQL, Oracle), virtualization platforms, storage systems, and load balancing solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and summarise technical information clearly.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with BMC Discovery (v11.x or higher) and BMC TrueSight Operations Management (v10.x or higher).

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification or higher.

  • BMC Certified Professional qualification. Experience working in international environments involving both civilian and military stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with NATO structures and organizations (ACO, ACT).
