Network Engineer (NRA)
Duties
- Resolve network-related tickets within SLA targets.
- Maintain data quality and integrity of network records.
- Manage and publish network names, IP addresses, and metadata.
- Assign IP addressing and naming for infrastructure designs.
- Support projects with integrating network configuration data into repositories.
- Automate network configuration management for NATO and partner networks.
- Automate network telemetry collection and monitoring.
- Process network change requests.
- Audit network device configurations against approved baselines.
Essential Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of post-degree experience.
Experience
- At least 3 years in:
- Network Engineering
- Programming/Software Development
- DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
- IP Address Management (IPAM)
Technical Skills
- Python programming and network automation.
- IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting.
- DNS and IP management.
- Routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, ISIS, BGP).
- Configuration auditing and change management.
Desirable Qualifications
- Military network IP address management.
- Linux administration and networking.
- SQL databases.
- Cloud networking.
- GRE, IPSec tunnels, VPNs, and military encryption standards.
- Knowledge of NCIA deployable CIS assets.
- Support experience for NATO operations and exercises.
- Experience with IPAM databases.
- Familiarity with NCIA service request processes.
Additional Knowledge & Certifications
- WAN, LAN, Firewalls.
- MPLS and Multicast networking.
- CCNA, DevNet, JNCIA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in international military/civilian environments.
- Understanding of NATO structure, ACO, and ACT.
