Scrummaster

We are looking for a Scrum Master who has worked closely with the business and data, whilst supporting a PO and the team in organizing their book of work. Experience of working in Asset Management or financial institutions would be an advantage.

As a Scrum Master, you play a central role in the development and operations of an Agile Bizdevops team, which operates within the Scaled Agile Framework. You ensure structure through effective embedding of processes and the way of working. You are the go-to person for the team when they encounter challenges or impediments, possessing a hands-on mentality and the ability to elevate the team in terms of behavior and team building.

You will work within the Data Product Management department, which is at the forefront of one of the most significant transformations within Asset Management COO. This department is part of the newly established Data Office and collaborates with other departments within the Data Office to develop Responsible Investment solution on the back of a strategic Data Platform. The team you will join is responsible for delivering investment solutions in close collaboration with the business that is our CIO. The candidate must be willing to travel to Heerlen occasionally.

This is what you’ll be doing

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies.
• Manage impediments and dependencies.
• Elevating team collaboration by encouraging communication and team alignment.
• Assisting in resolving conflicts within the team, promoting a healthy team dynamic and constructive communication.

But most important: be the servant leader of your team(s) via:

• Efficient leadership in following the Agile practices and managing workload or any conflicting situations that may arise no matter the nature.
• Coaching the team to discover their potential, improve collaboration, develop their skills and knowledge, and learn how to be self-organized.

You are a solution oriented, enthusiastic team player with experience in team coaching and Safe-agile way of working. This job requires someone who can elevate the team structure to the next level, but also accelerates self-organization of a team and solves impediments. You are a real team player with a good command of English and good communication skills.

Also, you have:

• Availability from as soon as possible for three months with the possibility for extension, 24 hours per week
• Bachelor / Master in Finance or Business Administration or IT.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Scrum master role.
• Knowledge of Safe and Agile Scrum.
• Coaching skills (on a team level).
• Persistent, accurate, and organized.

Experience is a big plus, however, if you meet the basic requirements and are eager to learn, there can be a good match too. Also, it’s a plus if you have a Scrum master certification (e.g., PSM I/II or Safe Advanced Scrum Master) and knowledge about Asset Management.
