Senior Assurance Engineer
Key Duties
- Plan, organize, and conduct formal reviews and assessments of complex systems, projects, and cross-functional activities.
- Verify compliance with organizational standards and identify the root causes of non-compliance.
- Produce and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, requirements traceability matrices, and test reports.
- Review and assure the quality of test artefacts and documentation.
- Plan, manage, and oversee verification and validation (V&V) activities and reporting.
- Support projects where testing is performed by external contractors.
- Assist operational teams with operational acceptance testing and related activities.
Requirements
Experience
- At least 5 years of recent experience in planning and executing testing, verification, and validation (V&V) activities for large, complex projects.
- At least 5 years of experience with functional, non-functional, and interoperability testing.
- Experience managing external stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience leading teams of testers, quality engineers, or development engineers.
- Experience working with independent testing performed by external organizations.
- Experience testing in virtualized and cloud environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of hardware and software system architectures.
- Ability to create and manage test documentation (test plans, test cases, RTMs, test reports).
- Familiarity with test management, defect management, and requirements management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Advanced certification in software testing or test management.
- Experience in NATO or military system testing.
- Experience with assurance tools and assurance processes.
- Experience as an interoperability tester within a NATO environment.
