Senior Cyber Security Architect, C004791
Core Duties
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity architecture deliverables:
- Architecture models linking systems, applications, and business processes
- Cybersecurity service roadmaps (mid/long-term evolution)
- Define and support security guidance & standards:
- Architecture instructions (tactical → strategic)
- Standardized security solutions and design approaches
- Contribute to cyber capability and concept development
- Coordinate with NCSC, NCIA, and stakeholders to gather inputs and align activities
- Produce technical documentation and reports
Key Requirements
Experience
- ~3 years in cybersecurity / security architecture / complex IT environments
- Experience with:
- Security architecture & capability delivery
- Technical requirements, system diagrams, engineering artefacts
- Cybersecurity concept development / research
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of:
- Security architecture design (on-prem & cloud)
- Cryptography & PKI
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Network monitoring & detection
- Segmentation / firewalls
- Good understanding of:
- Zero Trust architecture
- Risk management
- AI/security risks
- Computer forensics
- Ability to model complex systems using architecture frameworks
Skills
- Strong analytical communication skills
- Proficient in ArchiMate modelling
- English: STANAG 6001 Level 3 (Professional)
Certifications (preferred)
- Cyber: CISSP, CISM, GIAC
- Architecture/IT: TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL
(Experience can compensate)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree 3 years experience
OR
- ~10 years relevant experience (no degree)
Nice to Have
- Experience with military/government environments
