Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Planning
- Participate in strategic and operational-level planning processes, including travel for planning and execution activities.
- Coordinate mid- and long-term operational planning across strategic/operational staff and NCIA functional areas.
- Track, record, and manage formal taskings through to completion.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture requirements and ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide timely situational awareness and management updates to senior leadership.
- Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives across departments.
- Contribute to policy, standards, and operational planning process development.
- Act as a substitute for senior staff when required, ensuring continuity in leadership and decision-making.
Project Management & Support
- Support Project Managers throughout the NATO project lifecycle, including transition into service operations.
- Coordinate processes related to CRFs, Price Proposals (PP), O&M, CURs, and funding approvals.
- Ensure customer funding requirements are identified, communicated, and confirmed.
- Liaise with Account Managers and coordinate support with operational elements.
- Draft Tasking Orders to initiate service delivery.
Business Administration & Leadership
- Lead the Planning Team in the absence of the Branch Head.
- Mentor, coach, and develop military and civilian staff.
- Maintain and develop personal technical and professional competencies.
- Handle ad hoc operational tasks as required.
- Plan and organize executive-level meetings, including agendas and expected outcomes.
- Provide direction and track progress across executive teams.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferably CIS/IT) with at least 2 years of experience,
OR
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in management support or similar roles.
- Knowledge of NATO Operational Planning processes (or equivalent frameworks).
- Experience in CIS planning at national or international HQ (division level or above).
- Strong communication skills across military and civilian stakeholders.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proven multitasking, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with modern communication and information systems.
