Key Responsibilities
- Support deployment, transfer, and activation of CIS systems on NATO naval flagships
- Provide on-site, remote, and off-site technical support to Standing Naval Forces
- Administer Windows Server environments, including:
- Active Directory (DNS, Group Policies, Domain Services)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Manage virtualization infrastructure:
- VMware ESXi & vCenter (VCSA), lifecycle and firmware upgrades
- Maintain storage systems (SAN/NAS), including upgrades and configuration
- Perform system backups in line with SLA and SOPs
- Support end-user hardware and software administration
- Maintain and update technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years in enterprise infrastructure/system administration
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- VMware (ESXi, VCSA, upgrades, deployments)
- Microsoft Server technologies (AD, Exchange)
- Experience with:
- Certificate deployment
- iSCSI configuration
- Backup and recovery processes
- Knowledge of ITIL and incident/problem management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Required Qualifications
- Higher vocational diploma in IT (minimum)
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft certifications (Windows Server / Identity)
- ITIL Foundation
- Experience with military or operational CIS environments
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Ansible)
Working Conditions
- Full-time on-site (38h/week, Mon–Fri)
- 25–40% travel, including deployment on naval vessels
- Physical work (lifting up to 25kg, working in confined ship environments)
- Must be fully deployable on short notice
- Combination of on-site and occasional remote work (subject to approval)
