Key Responsibilities
- Support deployment and activation of CIS systems on NATO naval flagships
- Provide on-site, remote, and off-site technical support to SNF vessels
- Administer Windows Server environments, including:
- Active Directory (DNS, Group Policies, Domain Services)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Manage VMware infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter/VCSA), including upgrades and lifecycle management
- Maintain SAN/NAS storage systems and apply firmware updates
- Perform backups and recovery tasks in line with SLA/SOP
- Support end-user systems (hardware & software)
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal technical teams across NCI Agency
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years in enterprise system/infrastructure administration
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- VMware (ESXi, VCSA, deployments, upgrades)
- Microsoft Server technologies (Active Directory, Exchange)
- Experience with:
- Certificate deployment
- iSCSI configuration
- Backup processes
- Understanding of ITIL and incident/problem management
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Good communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Higher vocational diploma in IT
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft certifications
- ITIL Foundation
- Experience in military / operational CIS environments
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Ansible)
Working Conditions
- Full-time on-site (38h/week, Mon–Fri)
- 25–40% travel, including deployment on naval vessels
- Physical work (lifting up to 25kg, confined ship environments)
- Must be deployable on short notice
- Requires medical and liability insurance
- Combination of on-site and approved remote work
